A suspected meth lab was discovered inside of a luxury Florida condo building on Monday, a report said.
The drug lab was found in a 15th floor unit of the Majestic Towers Condo in Bal Harbour, CBSMiami reported.
The tenant inside the unit had recently been evicted and management on Monday planned to inspect the location ahead of a new tenant’s arrival.
“It’s pretty bizarre – I didn’t think meth labs happened [here],” Dr. Alfred Brandon, a local resident told the news outlet.
Police confirmed drugs were manufactured inside the unit, but did not specify the type, the report said.
Residents of three floors of the building were temporarily evacuated after Monday’s discovery.
One of the evacuated residents, Marie Miller, who lives on the 14th floor, told the outlet, “It’s a little shocking but it could happen anywhere.”
