At least two people have been injured in a shooting at a Virginia high school Monday, police said.
Authorities were called to Heritage High School in Newport News just after 12 p.m.
Newport News Police confirmed two people were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds.
The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.
Authorities have not released any information about the shooter.
Students were being evacuated from the school and directed to the tennis courts on campus where they could be met by their parents, police said.
Cops said reports that there are active shooters at other schools in the city are false.
