LUBBOCK, TX (CBSDFW.COM) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott is set to make what his office is calling “Statewide Announcement” to small business and community leaders of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce today at 1:30 p.m.

While Abbott has not said specifically what the announcement entails, many suspect there will are possible changes coming soon to the state’s COVID-19 response.

There is no indication yet on what changes may be coming.

CBSN DFW will carry the announcement here live.

Today Texas will report a new one day record for the number of people receiving vaccines—more than 216,000.

We are now providing more than 1 million Vaccines a week.
