Godzilla and King Kong seem very eager to settle their longstanding grudge.
Warner Bros. says its “Godzilla vs. Kong” mega-monster mash-up will be released March 26, two months ahead of schedule.
The flick will premiere simultaneously in theaters and on the streaming service HBO Max, Variety reports.
The movie cost $160 million, making profitability a longshot, given the pandemic-related closing of theaters, the outlet noted.
In December, Warner Bros. tested out the hybrid, theater-and-streaming release of “Wonder Woman 1984;” that movie cost $200 million to make but has only recouped $132 million, Variety noted.
