Now that the money hungry Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have announced yet another lucrative Hollywood production deal, this time with Spotify to make podcasts, calls have grown for Queen Elizabeth to strip them of their royal titles, the Express reports.

In addition to the new podcast money, Meghan and Harry scored a production deal with Netflix estimated to score them $150 million.

All these windfalls of money don’t sit well with many royal watchers, who are appalled that Meghan and Harry are leveraging their royal titles for massive paydays making podcasts and streaming content.

In a scathing essay in the Daily Telegraph, Celia Walden has demanded that the Queen rob Harry and Meghan of their rights to the HRH title as well as the privilege of being known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

After discussions with other Royal Family members, they agreed to stop using the titles, but technically still retain them.

“I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the HRH is going to have to go,” Walden wrote as she addressed the consequences of Meghan and Harry scoring big money through making podcasts for Spotify and streaming content for Netflix.

“You see, this isn’t Duchy Original shortbread they’re hawking, but the coat of arms, the royal seal and title,” she continued.

“That’s what Big Tech is doling out the big bucks for, not plain old Meghan and Harry – the likes of them are ten a penny out in LA. And as the faux-meaningful commodities being flogged as part of their brand become more and more embarrassing – Eau de Compassion, anyone? – the real meaning of HRH will get dragged down with it.”

The Sun has estimated that the money Meghan and Harry have scored from their podcast deal with Spotify is in the ballpark of $40 million.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex landed a £30million deal with Spotify for their own podcast – adding to their £100million Netflix win. So far, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are predicted to have netted up to £230million in their new life – after allegedly running up a colossal taxpayer bill in the UK.

Buckingham Palace was reportedly thrown into a fit of discontent after Meghan leveraged her friendship with Oprah to advertize a vegan latte start-up she’d invested in.

In addition to the kerfuffle and hullabaloo about how Meghan and Harry’s big-money adventures in podcast production has stirred among royal watchers, there is the rage over the couple’s proposed honors list.

While lambasting this nascent awards program as a vapid gesture to praise fellow do-gooders, critics of the Sussexes have slammed them for trying to upstage the Queen’s annual honors list.

In a contrasting opinion, Sean Smith, the authors of Meghan Misunderstood told the Daily Star that the British monarch’s list provides “a great deal of meaning to people who deserve it” but says that the associated prestige is exceedingly “dished out” to undeserving nobodies.

Mr Smith believes the list, which is released every year in honour of the Queen’s birthday, needs an overhaul and that Harry and Meghan’s Archewell could present a better version of recognising people.

As for Meghan and Harry’s big-money Spotify deal, the company said that the resulting podcasts would “build community through shared experiences, narratives and values.”

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may live in California but the power of their voices rests in their status as citizens of the world,” Dawn Ostroff, Spotify’s chief content officer, said of money-loving Meghan and Harry’s future in podcast producing.

“That they are embracing the extraordinary capacity of podcasts on Spotify while also seeking to elevate underrepresented voices is a testament to their appreciation for the potential of audio storytelling.”

As far as the Express is concerned, California deserves the “woke” Sussexes given that Britons are through with them. Happy Christmas, Meghan and Harry!
