A New Mexico woman was arrested last week for allegedly killing her grandfather with a lethal dose of medication and hiding his body in a tool chest, a report said.
Candy Jo Webb, 27, was busted by US Marshals in Florida on Thursday — three weeks after her grandfather’s body was found back in her home state in the town of Fort Sumner, the Las Cruces Sun-News reported, citing police.
Webb is accused of using lethal doses of Xanax and Ambien to kill her grandfather, Harden Webb.
New Mexico authorities charged Webb in her grandfather’s murder on Oct. 28 when she was still on the lam.
The suspect was expected to be extradited back to New Mexico to face the charges of murder and tampering with evidence.
